Bioterrorism Act Compliant: WinFDS complies with the FDA Bioterrorism Act of 2002. This act requires food manufacturers, processors, distributors and transporters to track the origin of their products from being processed to the final user. All businesses covered by this rule, must comply by December 9, 2005, except small and very small businesses. Small businesses (11 - 499 employees) must comply by June 9, 2006, and very small businesses (10 or fewer employees) by December 11, 2006. WinFDS provides information such as lot numbers, expiry/process date, shipping/receiving date, quantities and type of packaging, and the contact information of the recipients of the products delivered, as required by the Act.
